About the Role
As our dual Mini Bus Driver and Lifestyle Assistant, you will be responsible for the safety and comfort of our residents when driving them to their destinations. You will carry out daily safety and cleaning checks of the vehicle and report any issues to the home manager. You will interact with our residents on a daily basis, so you’ll be friendly, caring, and kind while respecting our residents’ dignity at all times. Additionally, as our Lifestyle Assistant, you will help plan and organise a variety of activities for our residents to create a fun and interesting environment for them. You will also offer comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for any residents unable to undertake the activities.
Here are some important things you need to know:
* You must have a full, clean driver’s licence and a clean criminal record – you will be driving a car and a minibus, and will need to provide documentary evidence of D1 on your licence.
* You’ll complete all relevant paperwork and fill in log sheets as required on a daily basis.
* You must be alert at all times to our residents’ physical and mental well-being.
* Organise and accompany residents, where possible, to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place out of normal working hours.
* Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
Exceptional people make an exceptional care home.
We're looking for individuals with a caring nature who want to work as part of an amazing team, surrounded by kindness and fun! For most roles in our vibrant care home, you don’t need specific qualifications or experience to be successful as full training is provided.
What we do look for are individuals who share our sense of compassion, care about people’s comfort and happiness, and want to make a positive difference in the lives of our treasured residents and team members.
