SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kidderminster
Salary: £425 to £450 per week
Contract: Temporary to Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' SEN school in Kidderminster. The school caters to pupils aged 4-19 with severe and profound learning difficulties, including those with Autism Spectrum Conditions and complex medical needs.
The curriculum focuses on five key areas: Communication, Thinking, Well-being, Body, and World. Personalised provision is at the heart of their approach, with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) guiding tailored strategies to address barriers to learning. Practical learning opportunities are integrated, making use of the local environment to develop essential skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to SEN pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Assist in motivating, engaging, and inspiring young people to participate and learn.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support classroom activities and manage behaviour effectively.
- Contribute to the holistic development of pupils in alignment with the school's curriculum ethos.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN students in a school or similar setting (desirable).
- Proven ability to work effectively with vulnerable individuals, either 1:1 or in small groups (desirable).
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and techniques.
