We are seeking a European Transport Planner for our Client based in the Dover area. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating efficient transport routes across Europe, ensuring smooth operations and on-time deliveries. European Transport Planner Duties include: Develop and implement transportation plans that optimise routes and reduce costs. Supporting both drivers and office with drivers' tachograph cards and driving hours. Manage logistics operations, including scheduling, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that arise during transit to ensure drivers arrive on time. Utilise internal software to analyse data related to transport efficiency and performance metrics, supporting business KPI's. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and prepare reports for management review. Communicate effectively with customers to address enquiries and provide updates on shipment status. Collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance overall operational efficiency. Lead initiatives aimed at improving transport processes and reducing environmental impact European Transport Planner Requirements: Must understand customs formalities Proficient in logistics management with a strong understanding of supply chain principles. Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Excel and Word, for data analysis and documentation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients effectively. Strong leadership qualities to manage projects and guide team efforts towards achieving objectives. Ability to work in an office environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Monday – Friday, and alternate Saturdays.
