What skills and experience we're looking for
The PE department benefit from excellent facilities including sports hall, gym, swimming pool, fitness suite, tennis courts and extensive playing fields. The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced teacher or an outstanding ECT with a capacity to teach Year 7 through to Key Stage 5.
• Breadth of knowledge and skills to teach a broad range of activities, expertise in areas such as rugby, football, basketball, swimming, cricket and athletics should be highlighted in your application. Although not essential an ability to teach trampolining is desirable.
• Ability and willingness to deliver GCSE PE (AQA) or BTEC L3 ExtendedCertificate and Diploma in Sport (Edexcel) at Post 16 or Sport Studies (OCR) at KS4 is essential.
• The candidate will be fully committed to the extensive extra-curricular programme.
• Has a keen attitude and ability to promote and maintain the department’s ethos and high standards.
• The successful candidate will be a Form Tutor.
