Job Title: Housing Officer

Salary Range:£28,000 - £35,000 per annum
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Contract Type:Permanent Full-time
Purpose of the Role:
The Housing Officer plays a vital role in supporting and managing Service Users (SUs) within an allocated area. This involves conducting welfare visits, property inspections, and maintaining accurate records.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport with SUs and provide effective support to ensure their well-being and the effective management of properties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular welfare visits to Service Users in their homes or other settings.
* Carry out property inspections to assess condition and identify any maintenance requirements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of Service User interactions, including notes, reports, and correspondence.
* Develop and implement individualized support plans for Service Users, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve shared goals.
Requirements:
* GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Previous experience working with vulnerable adults or children, preferably in a housing or social care setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
