Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
* Provides a full HR business partnering service to all key stakeholders across the full employee lifecycle drawing on support from the centres of excellence within the wider HR function
* Ensures that legal compliance is maintained, and processes/systems are in place across all areas within HR.
* Work closely with all People Leaders providing coaching and support to ensure competence and capability in all key HR practices.
Learning, Development, Resourcing and Talent Management
* Identify training needs of People Leaders and coach/guide to increase their capabilities within HR ensuring they have the toolkit to support their team effectively.
* Work with People Leaders to recruit and appoint using fair systematic processes in line with Company procedures
* Ensure People Managers are competent to conduct interviews regardless of the nature of the interview e.g., disciplinary, redundancy, investigation
* Work with Departmental Managers on identifying Talent, ensure succession reviews are in line with agreed procedures; ensuring follow up reviews and actions are taken
* Work with L&D colleagues to offer insights into local learning and development requirements
Organisation development and design
* Works with People Leaders in the design of jobs, offering advice and guidance on criteria for scoping and challenging them on the need for change.
* Works with People Leaders to deliver communication and engagement activities in a manner which suits local needs.
* Provide advice and guidance to People Leaders on the legal and processes aspect of change initiative programmes e.g., process change, structure change, and redundancies.
* Site lead on Ethical Audits providing the “Company Face” to auditors, organising and co-ordinating activities during audits and ensuring practices are observed on a day-to-day basis.
* Manage the site employee opinion survey process, supporting People Leaders in the communication and action planning stages.
* Manage a range of service providers (Cleaners etc.)
* Work with People Leaders to implement and embed the talent management process to assure succession and capability plans.
Employee and Industrial Relations
* Site lead for all day-to-day union activities
* Coach and partner People Leaders to develop solutions to address sensitive and /or difficult situations e.g., D&G, performance management, change.
* Provides coaching and advice to line managers on a range of employment relations, policies, and practices, such that they can handle any employment relations issues. E.g., disciplinary, grievance, attendance management
* Work in conjunction with People Leaders and Occupational Health to manage absence in line with the Attendance and Capability Polices
* Ensure that HR material is consistent and up to date in line with the Company’s policies and practices and is accessible. E.g., employee handbooks, contracts, intranet.
* Use KPI’s to inform line managers and drive improvement opportunities.
Payroll
* Responsible for processing changes accurately through Workday and liaising with the Payroll Co-ordinator to ensure they are processed through to payment.
* Supporting the Payroll Co-ordinator in seeking ways to automate and improve systems of work to reduce administration time and manual intervention of Manufacturing payroll changes.
Implementing Strategy
* Works with the UK HR Manager and line managers to implement business and people plans providing local insights and observations to shape and influence such plans
* Develops detailed project plans to support the implementation of major change initiatives identifying barriers and potential risks as well as strategies to overcome them e.g., restructures, changes in ways of working, culture development.
Colleague Engagement & General HR Activities
* Lead member of the Site Engagement Team
* Completes all weekly and monthly reporting activities
* Supports on UK wide HR initiatives

Technical Competencies & Qualifications:
* Experienced HR Advisor/Officer within a fast paced (ideally suited to Manufacturing/Logistics or Retail).
* Ideally holds a formal CIPD qualification, or working towards.
* Well-developed self-management skills – structured completer finisher and self-initiator
* Confident in the use of digital HR systems such as Workday and ADP in addition to MS Office.
Note: The role is site based with home working one day per week.
