Are you a STEM graduate with a 2:1 or above, ready to take the first step into education?
Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a forward-thinking school setting, supporting students aged 11–19 in STEM subjects?
A dynamic and innovative University Technical College (UTC) in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a brilliant opportunity to support young learners in a school that specialises in preparing students for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and maths.
The Role:
Full-time, long-term role with an immediate start
Provide academic support across KS3, KS4 and Sixth Form (ages 11–19)
Work 1:1 and in small groups with students in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and other STEM disciplines
Support lesson delivery, prepare resources, and assist in practical learning environments
Collaborate closely with subject teachers and specialist staff to enhance student engagement and understanding
Help shape an inclusive, professional environment where students are inspired to achieve their best
What We’re Looking For:
A 2:1 or above in a STEM subject (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Maths, Computer Science)
A passion for education and a genuine interest in working with young people
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to motivate, encourage, and support students with varying needs
Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
