We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in the Electronics Encapsulation dept.
Days of work: Mon to Thurs - 4 days per week (Fridays off)
Hours of work: 10am to 7pm
Pay per hour: £12.00 rising to £12.21 per hour to start - paid weekly. Plus accrued Holiday pay.
This is a very nice position for the right candidate, so if you have had some exposure to Machines, especially in the Electronics field, we are very interested to speak with you.
Training is provided if you have not worked on an Encapsulation machine.
This position is of a temporary nature until the end of December, but will more than likely continue into the long term.
Job Title: Encapsulation Technician
Job Summary:
The Encapsulation Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used in the encapsulation process. This position involves accurately assembling, filling, curing, and post-processing components used in HV power supplies. The candidate will need to ensure high-quality production, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Encapsulation Process Operation:
o Set up and operate equipment used in the encapsulation process.
o Ensure correct measurements and weights of materials as per production instructions.
o Monitor production process for efficiency and quality, adjusting as necessary to maintain standards.
2. Quality Control:
o Perform in-process quality checks on encapsulated products, checking for visual defects and uniformity.
o Record and document production and inspection data as required by company protocols.
o Identify and address any quality issues, reporting them to the production supervisor or quality assurance team.
o Assist with inventory management, including logging material usage and alerting supervisors of low-stock items.
3. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
o Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of encapsulation equipment.
o Troubleshoot any mechanical issues during the encapsulation process to minimize downtime.
o Coordinate with Production Engineering when repairs or upgrades are necessary.
4. Safety and Compliance:
o Follow all health and safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
o Ensure work area cleanliness and organization, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or encapsulation role preferable.
* Skills:
o Familiarity with encapsulation equipment and processes would be an advantage.
o Strong attention to detail, with an ability to identify quality issues.
o Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
o Ability to effectively manage your own time.
