We are seeking a dedicated Cover Teacher to support long-term across KS3 and KS4 after Easter 2025 at a busy Secondary School in Dewsbury, Kirklees. This role is ideal for a committed professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a range of subjects and students.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Cover Teacher to step into a key role, ensuring high-quality learning continues in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students to stay engaged in their studies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and student needs.
* Provide support and guidance to students in line with school policies.
* Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure continuity of learning.
* Uphold school values and maintain high expectations for students.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or extensive experience as a cover supervisor. Applications will be considered from individuals with alternative, applicable, education and experience backgrounds.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
* Experience covering multiple subjects across KS3 and KS4.
* Adaptability, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
* A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
