About the Role & Team As a specialised function within the wider Human Resources department, the Compensation CoE (Centre of Excellence) provides effective and professional support to Business Leaders and HR Directors across 27 countries in EMEA. A Compensation Analyst with strong interpersonal and analytical skills is required to join our busy team and assist the Senior Compensation Manager with all projects and cyclical and day-to-day compensation activities. This role’s primary focus will be building relationships with HR colleagues across EMEA and providing them with Reward-related advice, backed up with sound and robust analysis, as well as market insight. There will be some routine compensation administration and weekly/monthly reporting activities with some strict deadlines to adhere to. We are looking for a driven individual possessing a high level of numeracy and adept technical ability (namely with Microsoft Excel). This role will be working under the supervision of the Senior Compensation Manager and among 4 other Analysts, each with their own remits and specialisms. This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home. What You Will Do Assisting the Senior Compensation Manager with the coordination of annual salary, variable pay and long-term incentive planning. Building efficient and accurate Excel-based tools for any required modelling/data analysis/template generation. Processing promotions and adjustments as necessary, providing thorough salary and total compensation recommendations following appraisal against internal and external market, and managing any required approvals (which may involve senior leaders or US counterparts) Ad hoc job levelling and benchmarking, including the annual salary range refresh exercise. Participating in the coordination and data collation for annual reward survey submissions with the rest of the team. Acting as an internal advisor to allocated Disney Businesses and Local HR business partners for all projects/initiatives with a compensation impact involving interaction with staff at various of levels. This will include providing advice to local HR/C&B teams on complex compensation queries brought forward, and management/interpretation of compensation and recognition policies. Communicating with HR for information collation/distribution during various cyclical and non-cyclical activities, or in the absence of other Compensation Analysts/Managers. Managing the HRIS system for any compensation workflows (Workday). Managing data across HRIS systems and any offline trackers - involving ad hoc auditing to ensure cleanliness across the region. Presenting analysis of compensation related data sets to a variety of audiences using narratives and visualisations. Additionally, providing support for the Senior Manager on Executive Compensation and projects as required (i.e. UK Gender Pay Gap, EU Pay Directive, HRIS system roll out). Required Qualifications & Skills Demonstrable experience working in a Compensation role within a Global Company, including but not limited to experience with conducting annual salary/bonus review process, UK gender pay gap calculations, job levelling & benchmarking. Strong numerical and analytical skills is a necessity, i.e. ability to easily understand and calculate percentages, pro-rata’d amounts, interpret statistics related to compensation and then tell the story behind it. High level of Microsoft Excel proficiency is a necessity, particularly: - Familiarity with a wide range of Excel formulae, i.e. xlookups, IF statements. - Ability to use conditional formatting, data validations and charting. Strong presentation skills tailored to the relevant audience. High-level accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools, i.e. Word, PowerPoint. Proficiency in/experience using HR Information Systems, including advanced compensation modules (Workday & SuccessFactors). Proficiency in/experience using compensation consultancy reporting tools and surveys would be an advantage. Knowledge of Smartsheets and IBM Cognos would be an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills, i.e. ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders based on their needs. Strong time management skills. The role is occasionally required to work unsociable hours as stakeholders sit in the US (Burbank) office.
