What You'll Do
Join our Horticulture Branch as Team Leader Landscape Systems and drive the management and development of the Landscape Systems team to support our mission at RBGV. In this role, you'll lead team operations to achieve high standards in environmental systems, horticulture, and public safety.
Key responsibilities include :
* Training and mentoring team members
* Ensuring best practices in environmental management
* Overseeing vital systems like lake and wetland maintenance, irrigation, and biosecurity
* Collaborating with other branches
* Contributing to strategic planning initiatives
* Managing resources
* Ensuring regulatory compliance
* Fostering a positive, customer-focused culture

What You'll Bring
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in Environmental Sciences or related fields, preferably with extensive hands-on experience in botanical horticulture management. This role involves leading and motivating a team of staff, volunteers, and students, managing contractors, and overseeing complex landscape systems operations.

* Expertise in water conservation
* Ecological management of lake and wetland systems
* Environmental monitoring

* Strong planning, budgeting, and communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities effectively

A Victorian driver's license is required, and flexibility for occasional weekend or after-hours work is expected.
