We are looking for a BI Tech Lead to help design, implement, and optimize our Business Intelligence (BI) systems, integrating data from various sources, and supporting a wide array of business strategies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding BI developers, and ensuring that BI systems are aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities
* You’ll design and implement data models, ETL processes, and BI solutions to meet business requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
* You’ll collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, vendor partners, and IT teams to deliver BI solutions. Mentor IT teams on new capabilities, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
* You’ll analyse and validate source data, ensuring that data quality and integrity are maintained. Develop and implement conceptual and logical data models.
* You’ll provide hands-on leadership in designing and developing solutions that unlock the value of data for business users. Ensure BI solutions support efficient decision-making.
* You’ll identify and address performance bottlenecks, working with the DBA team to optimize BI system performance.
* You’ll develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions (e.g., star schemas, bus matrices, DFDs). Establish best practices for using BI tools and optimizing data structures.
* You’ll oversee system upgrades, version management, testing, and migration planning for BI tools.
* You’ll provide coaching and training to business users to enable effective use of BI tools. Monitor production support activities, resolve issues, and apply permanent solutions where necessary.
* You’ll keep business needs at the forefront of technology initiatives, ensuring that BI systems deliver measurable business benefits. Regularly engage with business users to confirm that BI results meet or exceed expectations.

* You’ll act as a key partner to business stakeholders, ensuring that technology solutions meet business needs and objectives.
* You’ll participate in business intelligence activities, contributing to data warehouse design, development methodology, and data modelling best practices.
* You’ll monitor and ensure the stability of BI systems through effective production support, identifying root causes of issues, and driving permanent solutions.
To Succeed in this role:
* You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
* You have 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, including leadership roles in the design and implementation of BI solutions.
* You have expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server 2005 BI Stack/Data Tools (and higher)
* You have a strong experience with Microsoft Azure BI Tools (e.g., Azure Synapse, Analysis Services, Power BI)
* You’re familiar with Source Code Management (Microsoft DevOps)
* You’re proficient in Relational Data Analysis, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access
* You have experience with Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, and other visualization tools
* You have knowledge of ETL Tools such as Informatica, DBAmp, Mulesoft, and Alteryx (desirable)
* You have experience in Data Warehouse setup and configuration
* You have strong SQL skills for developing queries, stored procedures, UDFs, and data extracts upon user request
* You’re proficient in using SSRS for report generation and SSIS for task automation
* You have experience with SSAS for cube development
Preferred Qualifications
* Targeted experience in financial systems, transportation logistics, warehousing, and/or telephony systems is highly desirable.
* Hands-on experience with SQL, data extracts, and creating optimized data structures for BI use cases.
