Job Summary
Oversee site activities, manage personnel, and ensure safety and compliance at Sizewell A Nuclear Power Station with occasional travel to Bradwell.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage Shared Services resources and ensure effective utilisation.
* Ensure safety of all personnel and full compliance with Integrated Management System and client policies.
* Meet client needs for Shared Services across the site while complying with statutory, corporate, and client requirements.
* Select and manage discipline supervisors, ensuring cooperation between different teams and contractors.
* Investigate and implement methods to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
* Manage material requirements for site activities.
* Manage workforce, including determining training needs and coordinating with the training department.
* Maintain stable and economical manning levels to meet client requirements and communicate changes promptly.
* Assist in investigating accidents and incidents.
* Maintain regular communication with client discipline coordinators and other key stakeholders.
* Attend ongoing project and safety meetings, and report against key performance indicators.
* Ensure cost-effective work methods are used and savings from efficiency improvements are reported.
* Collaborate with planning and quality functions to meet project goals.
* Identify training requirements for the workforce and coordinate with the General Manager to arrange training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong personal commitment to safety and compliance with safety regulations.
* Previous experience at Site Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Supervisor level within the industrial services sector.
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive and flexible approach to meet client expectations.
* Strong understanding of project costs and commercial impacts.
* Practical experience in recruitment and line management.
* Committed to delivering high standards of customer service with a high level of personal integrity.
* Proficient in computer applications and able to prioritize and deliver under high-pressure business environments.
* Previous experience in a nuclear setting is highly advantageous.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
