Senior Electronics Engineer Marlow – 4 days on site, 1 day at home

Copello are working with a defence client who is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Electronics Engineer to join their Antenna Business Unit team to work on products that shape the future of aerospace and defence systems. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, apply your skills to real-world problems, and contribute to the development of innovative and reliable electronics products.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership for the development of architecture to fulfill system requirements
* Create design and test requirements
* RTL design and verification (VHDL)
* Schematic capture of mixed signal circuit design (Analogue, RF, Digital) using Altium or similar
* Test, characterization, and verification of prototype and product designs
* Circuit simulation using LT Spice, Agilent ADS
* Use laboratory equipment such as VNAs, RF Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes for measurements
Skills required
* Strong experience with CPLD/FPGA firmware (VHDL) and development tools (e.g., Quartus)
* Good knowledge of high-speed digital technologies, CPLD, Microprocessors, FPGA, DDR Memory
* Experience in RF, High-Speed Digital, Power Supply design, and interface busses like SPI, I2C
* Familiarity with electronics design tools for schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout
* Experience with board bring-up, debugging, and electronics testing in a lab environment
* Experience in project lifecycle delivery from bids to operation
* Production of high-quality documentation
* Adherence to engineering best practices and aerospace standards such as AS9100, ARP4754A, DO-254, and DO-178
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or related field
* Minimum 3+ years’ experience in RTL Design and Verification (preferably VHDL)
* Minimum 3+ years’ experience with Xilinx Vivado/ISE or ASIC design teams
* Experience with timing constraints creation, analysis, and closure
* Experience with configuration management in a team environment
* Knowledge of firmware release processes for production
* Experience deriving system-level requirements from customer requirements
* Experience interfacing with hardware devices and peripherals
* Knowledge of DO-254, DO-178 is advantageous
