Ancora House has 2 inpatient wards, Coral and Indigo. The inpatient wards provide person centred acute care for young people aged 14-18.
We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to support our inpatient wards in Ancora House.
We are looking for a motivated and resourceful individual to join our ward-based team. You should possess commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of work. This is a varied role and can be demanding at times, whilst supporting the ward.
The applicant will be expected to be able to organise and prioritise their own workload on a daily basis and ensure that time deadlines are met and that urgent work is accommodated. This would include cleaning, catering, meal service and minor maintenance, together with any other specified tasks as identified by the unit management.
The post is 37.5 hours per week.
The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
The post-holder will work as an integral part of the ward based team. You will be expected to be involved in enhancing the patient experience. The housekeeper should relate to all care disciplines to ensure the provision of a high quality and safe environment for patients.
Duties will include:
1. Maintaining cleaning standards on the ward
2. Catering duties
3. Maintaining the environment
4. General ward duties such as stock control, ordering, financial handling, and many other duties outlined in the job description.
