Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a successful finance team. The successful candidate will have the option to go from Temp to perm. The successful candidate will be involved with the day-to-day management of financial accounts and management accountants, including balance sheet, P&L, budgeting and forecasting. The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Business Reporting Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports. Key Responsibilities: Management Accounts Assist the Business Reporting Accountant with the preparation and analysis of management reports. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals. Analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insightful commentary. Prepare and present financial data to support business decision-making. Respond to financial queries from internal stakeholders, providing clear and concise information. General Duties Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Continuously seek process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. Maintain accurate and organised financial records. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes are understood and followed. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and/or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA). Proven experience in a similar accounting role, with a strong understanding of both financial and management accounting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
