Support Worker
Pay rate: £11.70 (weekly pay)
Shift Pattern: Mon to Sun 8am – 8.00pm & 8pm – 8.00am
Requirements:
You must currently be based in/around the Littleport area and able to commute. Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis.
We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Littleport. He lives alone with family close by who visit regularly. He has a tracheostomy tube which means he is unable to vocalise at all, so he uses an eye gaze computer system when up during the day, and a word board if not able to access the computer.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.
2. Support with all facets of daily living.
3. Tracheostomy care.
4. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
5. Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
6. Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members, maintaining confidentiality and respecting privacy.
7. Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
8. Aid with light household chores which may include cooking and cleaning.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
1. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
2. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
3. Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
4. Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
6. Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
