Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer for Turbine Blades and Vanes (TBV) supporting our SGT business, you will be part of a growing function in a position that entails a large responsibility!
In your role, you will collaborate closely with suppliers and commodity managers with a shared target to secure qualified deliveries from qualified suppliers. We work in a multi-cultural environment with contacts with different departments locally and globally. Networking is a key for success.
A part of your responsibility within the commodities will be addressing nonconformances through conducting containment, Root Cause Analysis, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Supplier Qualification and Auditing: Collaborate with a multi-functional team to assess and audit supplier capabilities, ensuring they meet Siemens Energy standards.
2. Product and Process Qualifications: Lead teams to perform Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ), supporting suppliers in adhering to Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and tools.
3. Supplier Quality Supervision: Oversee supplier quality performance, including corrective and preventive actions, and initiate quality improvement programs and risk mitigation measures.
4. Early Supplier Involvement and Collaboration: Engage suppliers early in the product development process, working closely with the global supplier quality team, international team, and internal customers.
5. Monitoring and Communication: Continuously monitor and report supplier quality performance, coordinate component acceptability assessments, and communicate risks to ensure effective mitigation and improvement activities.
What You Bring
1. Technical and Engineering Experience: A strong background in Engineering, R&D, or Production Technology is highly valued, with additional benefits from experience in machining, castings, coating, forgings, or welding.
2. Holistic Supply Chain Management: Ability to understand and manage the entire supply chain, prioritizing key topics and ensuring smooth operations.
3. Quality and Risk Management: Proficiency in quality methods (5 why, FMEA, 8D, RCA) and risk management, with a focus on product functionality, delivery/cost, and resource constraints.
4. Interpersonal and Cultural Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities and experience working with international contacts, fostering a good understanding of different cultures.
5. Commitment and Travel: Demonstrates commitment, collaboration, and structured work habits, with a willingness to travel as part of the job.
