About the role:
* To assist the coroner's officers in managing death reports made to the coroner and coroners' investigations and Inquests.
* To implement the statutory duties of the coroner on his or her behalf.
* To assist in Court on a frequent / regular basis when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* To support the Court Inquest Officer and His Majesty's Coroner in Court
* To support the coroners' officers in their daily duties
* To receive death reports, input data into Civica Legal and as directed make further enquiries.
* To inform interested persons of their rights and roles and liaise as directed
* To secure disclosure and to disclose statements and reports as directed
* To support the coroner's officers in issuing relevant forms to external partner agencies (Registrars, Funeral Directors, Mortuaries)
* To liaise with organizations conducting other investigations or assisting His Majesty's Coroner
* To liaise with other jurisdictions and facilitate transfers of investigations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* English and Math Qualification
* Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification
