In order to be eligible to apply you must meet the below requirements: · Be a current serving Special Constable with a UK Home Office Force or BTP · Have achieved Independent Patrol Status · Outstanding complaints or matters with PSD must be resolved before applying · Be aged 17 years or over (you will not be able to start in the role until you are 18) · Residency and Nationality: o Candidates are required to be UK resident for the last three years, and candidates from outside of the United Kingdom, must have indefinite leave to remain and no restrictions on their right to work or remain in the UK · Occupation: o There are many occupations which could preclude you from joining the Special Constabulary due to conflicts of interest. Some of these roles include Security Guards, Armed Forces Personnel, Traffic Officers, Bailiffs and Immigration Officers to name a few.
