SSEN Transmission has a fantastic opportunity for a Resilience Analyst to join our Risk & Assurance team. The Risk & Assurance team proactively identify and assess enterprise risk and controls to deliver strategic priorities and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations through coordinated assurance activities.
The role aims to enhance organisational resilience by supporting a strong Business Continuity Management System. The Resilience Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, contributing to Business Continuity and Resilience initiatives. You will analyse data to identify and address gaps, risks, and threats, while supporting incident management to ensure reliable service delivery.
You will
- Support and lead the development of practices for a robust Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), including Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans, Playbooks, and exercises/testing of recovery strategies.
- Analyse data from various sources to identify trends, provide insights, and support decision-making on risk, assurance, and resilience, including tracking corrective actions from exercises and incidents to completion.
- Review systems and processes for organisational resilience, ensuring compliance and identifying improvement opportunities across stakeholders. This includes developing integrated assurance within SSEN Transmission and monitoring the effectiveness of our controls library.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees and stakeholders on business continuity practices and procedures, ensuring a well-informed and prepared workforce.
- Build professional relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration, share data and reports across the Risk & Assurance team, and support compliance with internal standards and industry best practices, ensuring alignment of resilience strategies.
Experience in a similar business continuity or organisational resilience role, ideally being accredited to CBCI level or above.
- A keen understanding of management systems and processes, and an ability to ensure compliance and / or influence change where appropriate.
- An innate attention to detail, with strong capability in data analysis and excel skills and previous experience developing and reporting KPIs and/or external reporting would be beneficial. Power Bi and / or SQL experience is essential.
- A positive approach to tackling problems, proactively finding ways to suitable solutions and successful outcomes combined with your personal motivation and resilience, inspiring other to drive progress, learning from setbacks.
- An ability to take ownership for your decisions and hold yourself accountable, working across multiple workstreams with the need for minimal supervision mixed with strong communication and influencing skills to build collaborative relationships.
