Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to oversee and enhance our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships to optimise our supply chain performance.
Tasks to include (or oversee)
* Chasing all stages of the Critical Path (pre & mass production, ensuring orders arrive on schedule)
* Ensure team are managed in a way that achieves our goals
* Booking & Performing inspections (flexihours required to accommodate Zoom calls with other time zones)
* Freight transportation (Book shipping - Track shipments - Duty control)
* Overseeing in-house Quality control and making improvements to reduce loss
* Having important and difficult conversations with overseas factories to get better outcomes (around quality, price, deadlines) - must be happy to communicate via phone to overseas factories
* System improvements / project management
* Researching errors and issues and fixing
* Reporting to senior on overall KPI targets
* Contracts / terms and policy manager
* Decision making skills for high issue / critical problems
* Staff training and development
* Ensuring replenishment of top selling current stock
Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart
* A background in Buying/ Merchandising or Supply Chain preferable.
* Proven experience in project management, with a focus on critical path analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including overseas factories, via phone and video call
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Team management skills
* Able to work unusual early start hours to cover inspections
Your Mission
* Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities and dependencies.
* Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary.
* Collaborate with the buying team to ensure deadlines are met
* Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and critical path activities.
* Utilise project management software and tools to track and report on project progress.
* Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £34,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
