6-Months+ Contract Opportunity: Project Manager – Nuclear Sector
Are you a dynamic Project Manager with a background in Engineering or Project Management? Do you have the skills and experience to lead a multidisciplinary team and manage complex projects from inception to completion? My client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team on a 6-month contract, delivering exceptional project management and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver comprehensive project management and contract administration.
2. Ensure a unified understanding of project requirements, scope, programs, costs, constraints, risks, and interfaces across the team.
3. Lead, build, motivate, maintain, coach, guide, and develop the project team.
4. Implement governance arrangements in line with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures to ensure robust project outcomes.
5. Prioritise safety throughout project delivery.
6. Manage the project within client and DIO agreed budgets.
7. Handle risk and opportunity management from project inception to completion.
8. Administer and negotiate change control processes.
9. Oversee sub-contractor procurement processes.
10. Monitor and report project performance against programs, technical quality, financial, and KPI targets both internally and externally.
Requirements:
1. Strong background in Project Management or Engineering, particularly within the Nuclear environment.
2. Proven experience in accountable Project Manager roles on multidisciplinary design projects with design fees exceeding £1M per annum.
3. APM PMQ (or equivalent) recognised level of competence in Project Management is desirable.
4. Significant experience in deploying various forms of construction contracts, particularly NEC 4.
5. In-depth understanding of Nuclear Standards.
6. Experience working closely with multi-disciplinary design teams.
7. Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
