Marine Resources are recruiting for a full-time permanent Mast Assembler to be based in Fareham, Portsmouth.
My client is the world's leading yacht and dinghy mast maker, now has the following opportunity to join their composites production team based in Fareham.
The role of Assembler involves reading technical drawings and the Bill of Materials (BOM) to produce Carbon Spars for sailing boats.
Using air-powered tools to cut, drill, grind, and sand the carbon sections to specifications laid out within the Production Handbook. After painting, the Spar will be fitted out with all associated parts to turn the Carbon tube into a functioning piece of sailing equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Measure and mark out positions for fittings and fixtures
2. Measure and mark out positions for any necessary routing, cutting, drilling, riveting, etc.
3. Fit, assemble and secure all parts according to BOM using a range of hand and power tools
4. Raise any issues that conflict with BOM instructions
Essential Experience:
1. Wide range of hand and power tool experience
2. Measure and marking out experience
3. Able to work as part of a small team
4. Ability to understand BOM instructions and technical drawings
5. Experience of assembly work
