This role is focused on a deep technical expertise in Workday integrations, demanding both development and architectural skills. It requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders, problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience with Workday financials, HCM, and payroll integrations is essential, as is a strong understanding of security and compliance. Responsibilities: Design & Development: Design, build, test, and deploy complex Workday integrations, leveraging Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs (SOAP, REST), and related technologies (XML, XSLT, WSDL). This includes data mapping, transformation, ensuring data quality, and utilizing rapid prototyping techniques to accelerate development and gather feedback and ensure alignment with overall system architecture. Architecture & Strategy: Lead the overall data strategy for people-related data within Workday, driving large architectural changes and evaluating existing systems. Technical Leadership: Provide estimates, clarify technical requirements, manage source code, create technical documentation, troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and mentor junior team members. This includes managing the integration development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting quality standards. Collaboration & Communication : Collaborate with HRIS, business stakeholders, product owners, and third-party vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle, from planning and requirements to execution and deployment. Jointly develop estimates, designs, and timelines. Ensure clear communication and alignment on priorities and represent the Workday solution to business process owners. Operational Excellence & Compliance: Establish and maintain operational excellence (ITIL), focusing on security (ISO 27001), privacy (GDPR), compliance (SOX), availability, integrity, and performance. Ensure integrations meet security standards and comply with data privacy regulations. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, provide innovative ideas, contribute to team success, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning. Support company strategies and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Expertise/Experience: 5-8 years of hands-on Workday integration experience. Deep understanding of Workday’s integration technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
