What you'll be working: We welcome applicants interested in either full-time or part-time hours for this role. What you'll be doing: Lead and manage the Speech and Language team, ensuring effective delivery of the highly specialist SLT service. Plan and prioritise a complex clinical caseload. Provide advanced specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing. Take a lead role in diagnosis, problem formulation and planning of rehabilitation programmes within the MDT. Provide intervention as part of an MDT approach and lead and implement MDT service developments. Evaluate effectiveness of interventions using valid and reliable outcome measures and adherence to UKROC Database measures Ensure effective and timely communication at all levels (with patients, families, the MDT and external agencies). Develop and deliver in-service education and training programme for the wider MDT. Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights. As a member of the senior management team, you will promote a culture of openness and responsiveness to the views of patients and relatives, a philosophy of person-centred care and recovery, and an ethos of positive learning from incidents within a high performing service. What you'll have: HCPC registration Postgraduate dysphagia training At least 2 years experience of working at Band 7 level in a neurorehabilitation setting Supervision experience Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
