Contract Length: Anticipated 18 months
Location: Reading, West Berkshire – hybrid working
We are seeking a Handover Manager to be responsible for managing, organising, and controlling all handover activities for a portfolio of projects or a single capital project. Reporting to the Handover Team Leader and working closely with the Senior Project Manager, the role involves ensuring seamless project transitions while adhering to the company’s Security, Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health (SQESH) standards and relevant legislative requirements. This role demands proactive identification and recommendation of process improvements to optimise efficiency and compliance across projects, contributing to the delivery of high-quality results within a regulated framework.
Candidates must demonstrate experience in managing programmes or portfolios of projects, or a single major project, in a highly regulated environment. You will have experience managing projects during the handover stage and excel at status reporting and resource forecasting.
Key requirements:
Experience in managing projects, programmes, or portfolios in highly regulated environments.
Skilled in status reporting and resource forecasting against project programmes/portfolios.
Effective communication with a variety of programme/portfolio stakeholders.
Ability to commit to 3 days per week onsite.
Project management knowledge at Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager level for delivering projects.
Expertise in scheduling and forecasting.
Understanding of project management frameworks, such as APM and agile delivery models.
Experience managing projects during the handover phase.
Proven leadership experience.
