About the Role
Our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby is a state-of-the-art CIP plant producing premium quality chilled soups and sauces. The site currently employs around 200 people, whilst turning over £30 million. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will work closely with the Engineering Team and carry out daily mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.
Key Responsibilities
* You will be required to carry out daily mechanical maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
* Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations using Safe Systems of Work.
* Proactively look for new, improved ways of working and propose corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
About You
The ideal candidate will be HNC qualified and have experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a multi-skilled environment, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
Key Skills/Qualifications
* Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering techniques, fresh packaging, refrigeration, and labelling technology.
* Ability to improvise under breakdown conditions and product development situations while being aware of the relevant regulations.
* Knowledge of site services, CIP, refrigeration, steam boilers, water and effluent monitoring.
* Experience in reactive maintenance roles.
* Strong interpersonal skills: a team player who supports fellow engineers and develops good relationships with colleagues across the business.
