Based just outside Oxford and operating in the South East and London, the Company has a healthy order book and is looking to recruit talented individuals to join its team. With apprenticeships and staff development being our focus, we are looking to recruit an Electrical Tutor/Curriculum Lead to join our team and help shape our vision to operate as an Employer Provider to deliver an industry leading Installation & Maintenance Electrician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
This is a new role, and we are looking for someone who is driven and wants to be part of the team to create and manage our brand-new training centre. You should be able to work independently and have a good understanding of the electrical standards as well as experience in being a Lead Tutor with a good knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
Reports to: Apprentice & Training Manager.
Expected start date: Flexible, but before April 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will work with our Apprenticeship Team and business leaders to design the layout of our new training centre, help create and manage the curriculum and deliver training to our new intake of apprentices to ensure it supports their needs and the work they do on-site. They will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of the apprentices and responsibilities will encompass various areas of educational leadership and management to meet our vision of providing the very best apprenticeship training in our industry.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to expand our training centre vision further to educate our non-apprentice staff and also to provide commercial training courses to employees from other companies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Full Level 5 Teaching Qualification (Desirable).
* TAQA or Equivalent Assessor Qualification.
* Minimum Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching, assessing, and curriculum development.
* Experience in delivering training to a large number of students.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* A commitment to innovation and creativity in teaching and learning practices.
OUR OFFER:
* Salary range: £43,000 to £53,500 depending on experience.
* Hours: Contractual hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day plus 1 hour for lunch. (Core hours to be worked to suit curriculum delivery).
* Bonus: Company profit share bonus based on 31st December year end paid as a percentage of salary the following June.
* Pension: Employer 5%, Employee 4%
* Bonus days holiday: For each year worked up to 5 additional days (After 1 year service). Sell or carry up to 5 days each year.
* Annual pay review: March for April salary.
* Training: Company funded career development training.
