A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join our team supporting 2 of our homes in Southend- On -Sea, on a part-time, permanent basis working 22.5 hours per week. Porters Brook and Grahame House are supported living schemes that supports adults with learning disabilities. We’re looking for a motivated leader to develop and manage approximately 10 staff across these 2 homes to support the people who live there to have positive fulfilled lives. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities – · To be responsible for the management of the service in order to meet the needs and aspirations of service users, commissioners and regulatory authorities and develop a reputation for Estuary for excellent delivery of distinctive services. · Develop, maintain and work in partnership with a network of key stakeholders in order to deliver safe, high-quality services. · To identify recommend and implement improvements to the service given CQC and commissioning requirements, best practice and business plan priorities to achieve distinct, high quality service provision. · To be responsible for the recruitment, development and management of staff in order to provide them with the skills, experience and behaviours necessary to provide a safe, high quality services. · Manage budgets and funding streams in order to ensure the delivery of cost-effective services. · Develop and manage support services that meet the needs and aspirations of service users. · To contribute to the development of policy and procedure and to be accountable for the operational implementation of those policies and legislation that governs them. · All Managers and Supervisors must be aware of their relevant legal and organisational duties and responsibilities in relation to the health, safety and wellbeing for themselves and those members of staff under their supervision, including non- employees who may be affected by their acts or omissions. What we’re looking for – · An experienced manager in the care service sector. · Ideally you will have specifically worked in supporting people with complex needs to lead a full life. · You’ll have a strong track record in leadership & management, and good knowledge of the challenges that face people with learning disabilities. · Someone that can step into the role and make it their own. · Candidates must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings.
