Contract Type: 12 Month Parental Cover We are looking for an awesome candidate to take up this rare opportunity to be the Head of PR for the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, on a 12 month fixed term contract. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick, with a really exciting pipeline of innovation projects launching in the next few years. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Head of PR and Social Media will be responsible for the strategic development, excellent execution and delivery of the Resort’s Public Relations and Social Media strategy (earned media channels) driving best in class publicity and social engagement for the Resort. You will manage the Resort’s reputation handling all crisis communications. A strong PR programme is central to our overall Resort marketing strategy. This senior high profile role is critical in building Resort awareness and word of mouth reputation and supports the delivery of visitor volume, revenue and EBITDA targets. What the job will involve: Lead, develop and implement the Resort’s PR and Social Media strategy and plans Oversee, brief and evaluate the retained consumer PR agency in delivering the ‘always on’ PR strategy, activations and attraction launches. Manage the Resort’s reputation, leading on all crisis and issues communications with out of hours, on call cover. Oversee the busy in house Press Office in facilitating press review visits, photography and filming requests. Lead and develop the PR & Social Media Manager direct report Maximise creative news generation and newsjacking opportunities ensuring LEGOLAND exploits all publicity opportunities.
