Brief Description of the Role:
We are looking for a full time 37.5pw Band 3 Booking Officer/ Secretary to join our Urology team. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for patient pathway management, booking appointments, handling telephone queries, emails, and liaising with medical professionals. You will also support the consultant team with typing, queries, and appointment bookings.
You should be literate and numerate, with excellent organisational, time management, and IT skills, and an ability to work without supervision. A high standard of communication and interpersonal skills is essential, along with enthusiasm and motivation.

Experience
* Experienced in general office administration duties.
* Experience of working in a team.
* Experience of working on own initiative.
* Experience of working in a busy office environment.
* Experience of working to deadlines and keeping systems up to date.
* Relevant typing experience.
* Previous experience working within a stock control environment.
Skills
* Able to exercise own initiative when dealing with issues within own area of competence.

* High standard of communication skills (written & verbal).
* Good customer care and interpersonal skills.
* Computer literate with accurate keyboard skills.
* Demonstrate the ability to work flexibly.
Knowledge
* Basic knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of employment procedures and practices, national standards, e.g. ISO9001:20015, health and safety in workshop areas, RIDDOR, COSHH.
Qualifications
* 4 GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths, NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
* An appropriate speed and accuracy of typing is required for this role and will be assessed at interview.
* Shorthand / Speed writing / Minute taking qualifications.
