Due to continued growth and expansion, Orthomotion Medical, a Medical Device Third Party Logistics (3PL) service provider, is looking for a
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
The position is full time and based in Barnacre, PR3 1GD. The primary focus of the role is to ensure surgical implants and instruments are delivered to hospitals in a timely manner so much-needed surgical operations take place. This involves dealing with hospital operating theatre staff, procurement staff, sales personnel, and our suppliers, making it a customer-centric role.
Day-to-day activities will involve:
1. Receiving orders from hospitals and sales personnel via email or phone.
2. Processing the orders through our stock management software (ERP) system, which generates the appropriate documentation required to accompany the goods and ensure compliance with regulations.
3. Arranging shipment of the medical devices for delivery in line with the customers’ requirements.
4. Arranging collection of the implants and instruments after use.
5. Conducting incoming inspection upon return.
6. Processing the implants used through the ERP computer system.
7. Restocking loan sets ready for dispatch for the next surgical operation.
8. Processing the information for invoicing.
9. Inputting the company's purchase orders to suppliers into the ERP system.
10. Conducting incoming inspection of stock and processing the suppliers' incoming invoices.
Skills:
* Maths and English GCSE.
* Experience in working with Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
* Experience of working with a stock management software (ERP) system is highly desirable.
* The ability to work to defined processes (SOPs) is also essential.
* An understanding of Quality Systems would be a distinct advantage.
* Customer Service experience.
* Self-motivated and committed to delivering outstanding Customer Service with great communication skills.
* The ability to prioritise and multitask to ensure all orders are successfully dispatched in line with customers’ requirements.
* Attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with each order.
* Retain good product knowledge to assist the customers.
* A pro-active approach and problem-solving skills.
* A strong energetic and resilient work ethic with the will to go the extra mile when needed.
* Medical knowledge would also be an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
