We are looking to hire a specialist Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our Allied Health team within Stanmore School and Corseford School.
If you are looking for a rewarding clinical lead role within the charity sector, then this fulfilling opportunity will be perfect for you.
About the role
This is not your typical allied service line management post; not only will you have the pleasure of leading our small team, but you will also ensure the provision of a robust, comprehensive Speech & Language service for all children and young people in our schools. This is a hybrid working role, which allows you to have full autonomy over your diary. Our wonderful schools have a small cohort of children aged between 5-18 years, meaning you and your team can dedicate a lot of time to making a positive impact on their needs.
Whilst this post is located across two schools - Stanmore House School (ML11 7RR) and Corseford School (PA10 2NT), the multi-disciplinary team is based in one office in our schools, meaning you have the support of colleagues across different disciplines. Ideally basing yourself in Stanmore, where there is more demand for support, travel between schools will be minimal and coordinated by you.
Alongside demonstrable qualifications and expertise in this field, you should be enthusiastic, energetic and motivated. Being dysphasia trained and experienced in the use of AAC aids and other forms of communication aids will enable you to identify our young people’s needs, which are determined by the needs of the children, and work with your team and external contacts to source and implement equipment.
Hours – 29.5 hours per week – (flexible on days/times – open to discuss at interview)
