Our Logistics Apprenticeship Programme, supports our Logistics function, whose purpose is to enable the efficient flow of goods from our vendors to our stores. You'll gain experience across our entire distribution network - Logistics Operations, International Logistics and Customs, Supply Chain Partnerships and Technology and Engineering teams.

Monday to Friday, typically 9.00am to 5.00pm. We do operate a hybrid working policy, with emphasis on being in the office at least 2-3 days per week.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Working in the Logistics Team you will be part of a helpdesk which assists our vendors to book goods into our supply chain, enabling fast flow to our processing centers and out to stores.
* You will help in creating accounts, and book deliveries.
* Assisting our Buying Operations team and Vendors with queries
* You'll be supported by a team leader and will be part of a cohort of other apprentices.

* Manage the flow of fast-moving consumer goods products or services based on evolving and changing information.
* Use standard operating procedures.
* Support customers with supply chain enquiries.
* Use IT systems for the supply chain; Company and customer systems. Applies cyber security and GDPR regulations and policies.
* Use continuous improvement techniques in the fast-moving consumer goods supply chain.
* Lead and participate in problem solving activities: 5 whys, fishbone analysis.
* Use capacity planning to inform fast-moving consumer goods supply chain processes.
* Apply team working principles.
* Escalate issues and tasks.
* Analyse data against supply chain key performance indicators to identify trends and themes that affect the fast-moving consumer goods supply chain.
* Plan and adhere to customer lead times.
* Use data analysis outcomes to inform decision making in the supply chain function.
* Develop and implement a supply plan, for example, supply planning, production planning, demand planning, operations planning - logistics, commercial planning.
* Use order management tools to capture customer orders.
* Communicate with others verbally for example, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Communicate in writing with others for example, internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
* Comply with health and safety legislation, regulations, standards, and guidance.

Your training plan
* You'll be based in our European Head Office, which is based in Watford
* We're typically in the office at least 2-3 days per week (some weeks could be up to 5 days in the office, dependent on business need).
* As our Logisitcs Apprenticeship Programme supports our entire Distribution network, you will be required to visit our Processing Centres in Wakefield, Walsall and Stoke-On-Trent (which will be a core part of your induction and learning journey).
