South Central RRDN is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.
We welcome applications from all relevant professional groups (across health and care) within each setting area.
Please see below for a detailed job description of the role.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Hospital Setting lead to support the regional research delivery within health and care settings for the new south central region. Working collaboratively, you will support regional research portfolio activities and identify and address the impact on regional health and social inequalities across all stages of research.
You will play a vital role in leading and supporting the successful delivery of high-quality research, as an active partner in the research system, to increase capacity and capability of the research infrastructure for the future. As a result, research will reach more people, address changing population needs, support the health and care system and the economy, and become a routine part of care - for the benefit of patients, the health and care system and the economy.
This is an exciting time for UK research and we want to make the UK the best place in the world for commercial companies to bring new treatments and technologies, so these roles are critical to our success in the south central region - and nationally.
About us
As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to. UHS is rated 'Good' by the CQC and in the latest national NHS Staff Survey, we were in the top 10 acute trusts for staff engagement and for staff recommending the hospital as a place to work or receive care.
UHS employees are able to access a range of NHS discounts, are entitled to a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme.
Southampton is an attractive place to live and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep. The city offers living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.

5. Demonstrate highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate priorities, and effectively engage and influence others at all levels internally and externally, including through presentations and public speaking.
We welcome applications from all relevant professional groups (across health and care) within a hospital setting.
