Description Job Title: KS3 SEN Teacher/Tutor Reporting to: Social Care Manager/ Case Manager Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 14:50 Hourly rate : £25.00 All mileage paid : .45 per mile All travel time paid : £13.00 per hour We will be looking to offer a termly contract for a Teacher/Tutor Location: Guildford Role: To provide education and support to a young person to progress academically and earn qualifications. Experience of working with young people aged between 11 to 16 Experience of working within Key Stage 2 Experience of SEN, Autism, English and outdoor education Experience of following and delivering a curriculum within a school setting. Experience of working 1:1 with individual pupils in a school setting and/or home. Must be a driver. You need to be confident but have this underpinned by knowledge and experience and be calm, reflective and agile allowing you to pivot your approach to mirror the young person’s needs on any given day. The need for a curious and creative solution-based mind set will enable you to KS3TTdevelop a detailed understanding of who they are and what they need. You should be tenacious in your approach always looking to move the young person closer to their dreams and aspirations. You will also need a good sprinkling of resilience to not allow the demand of the role to deplete your energy levels and be able to not take the behaviours of the young person personally. You should be self-motivated, energetic and possibly bring additional skills alongside the core requirements of this role.
