The Post:
The core purpose of the Digital & Security organisation is the provision of world class Digital and Security expertise, solutions and services to our customers, which include NSS, NHS Boards, Scottish Government and the wider Public Sector in Scotland.
As a Senior IM&T Technician you are the technical specialist function of the Service Desk team and main point of escalation for client support within NSS. You will support hardware, software and systems, triaging when necessary to specialist support teams, building networks of contacts, assist in the creation of processes and procedures to maintain the smooth running of the Service Desk team, generate reports within Service Now and assist in coaching and quality control.
The Candidate:
Applications are invited from individuals who are educated to Degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (e.g. IT Technical Support/Systems administration).
You will have experience of developing or ensuring adherence to ITIL compliant processes and procedures as well as experience of acting as a point of escalation. You will also have the ability to assess, triage and assign appropriate priorities to tickets.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
