This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
We have an immediate part-time weekends opening for an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant to join the team at our Margate, FL office M-F 7am-3:30pm.
How You'll Contribute:
In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:
* High volume of phlebotomy and maintaining supplies for the blood drawing stations.
* Ensuring lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
* Documenting patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records.
* Utilizing the computer for entering labs and printing labels.
* Assisting physician or ultrasound technician with various procedures.
* Assisting with HSGs as needed, taking vital signs, and providing general clinical assistance.
* Assisting with the clinical care of fertility patients.
* Providing patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicating physician orders and instructions.
* Providing pre and post-op education.
* Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
* Working independently to assure the program goals are achieved.
* Supporting and promoting excellence in customer service.
What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
* Completion of a formal MA or Phlebotomy program preferred or 5 years of experience.
* Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications; accuracy and speed with data entry is required.
* Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology.
