AVAILABLE POSITION: Resources Coordinator
Sea-Cargo Aberdeen Ltd is a well-established port service provider and liner operator based in the heart of the Port of Aberdeen. We provide a range of stevedoring, warehousing, customs, shipping and logistics services from a modern, integrated facility. Sea-Cargo plays a key component in the port handling over 250,000 tons of cargo per year. As part of the Norwegian based Sea-Cargo group we also support our liner cargo vessels operating throughout the North Sea to facilitate the movement of goods.
Due to sustained growth in business we have the need for a new position of a Resources Coordinator. The Resources Coordinator will report to and work closely with the Terminal Foreman to support labour and plant requirements to support daily operations as well as promoting safe working within the workforce.
Operational Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with the Terminal Foreman to allocate labour and plant requirements for Sea-Cargo operations.
2. Reacting to customer requirements for booking of plant and labour.
3. Finding solutions for customer requests.
4. Sharing on call cover with the Terminal Foreman.
5. Conducting internal audits of Sea-Cargo operations.
6. Continuous promotion of safe working practices in the workforce.
7. Taking part in safety meetings.
8. Customer invoicing.
9. Taking part in sales activities.
10. Visiting quaysides on a daily basis to follow up in ensuring customer requests are being met.
HR Responsibilities:
1. Identifying training requirements of terminal and quayside staff.
2. Booking of training courses for staff where required.
3. Taking part in staff appraisals and disciplinary proceedings.
4. Assisting with staff recruitment.
5. Conducting staff and contractor inductions.
6. Assisting with processing of the weekly payroll.
7. Communicating company updates and information to the workforce.
Skills required:
1. IOSH Managing Safely Certification.
2. Knowledge of port and lifting operations (preferred).
3. Strong HR knowledge (formal training preferred).
4. Ability to communicate well with all levels.
5. Strong IT skills.
6. Strong customer relationships.
