Velindre University NHS Trust (VUNHST) is looking to appoint a dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic candidate to join our Corporate Team. The Health and Safety Facilitator will support the Head of Health and Safety to deliver a safe environment for staff patients and visitors. The role will also involve delivery of risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards. Support the Trust in meeting and exceeding set targets, reporting and investigating incidents and accidents, and creating initiatives that will improve the safety of staff, patients and other stakeholders. Main duties of the job To work closely with and to support the Head of Health and Safety and the wider Health & Safety Team. The post holder is required to assist and support the health and safety team with routine activity. The post holder is required to implement and support the delivery of Health and Safety training programmes to staff across The Trust ensuring a consistent and high quality delivery and content such as Manual Handling, Violence & Aggression, and other courses/workshops as required to ensure the board meets its statutory obligations. The post holder will provide professional H&S support to staff within the organisation with all aspects of Health, Safety and Welfare at work, thereby improving working conditions and reducing the Board's exposure to risk created in the workplace. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
