Role: History teacher (A Level)

Rate: 30 - 35 per hour
Eden Brown are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated A Level History Lecturer to join a leading Sixth Form College on a temporary, full-time basis (36 hours per week). The role is based in Greater Manchester and is to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
As an A Level History Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching history at A Level, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, and inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of the subject. You will work collaboratively with other teaching staff and contribute to the department's success.
This position is ideal for someone who has a strong academic background in History and a passion for helping students succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for A Level History students in line with the curriculum.
2. Provide high-quality teaching that motivates and challenges students.
3. Track and monitor student progress, offering support where needed to ensure achievement.
4. Prepare and grade assignments, coursework, and exams.
5. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement.
6. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
1. A degree in History (or a closely related subject).
2. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential).
3. Experience teaching History at A Level is essential.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students.
5. Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
