Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to quantification and bid preparation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity in every presentation and report. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Procore or similar project management software is a plus. A proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently while thriving in a team environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting. As a Mechanical Estimator: Review and complete tender documentation to ensure everything meets project specifications. Identify any gaps or missing elements in contract information and work to resolve them. Accurately measure and take off materials and labour requirements. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather project-specific insights. Leverage your estimating expertise to compile tender bids that are both compliant and competitive. Prepare and issue tenders in line with provided documentation. Obtain and compare estimates from subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best prices. Work closely with procurement, especially on specialist materials. Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients and subcontractors. Deliver clear and confident tender presentations and follow up diligently on bids to help secure projects. Complete feedback reports for all tenders, regardless of the outcome, to refine future bids. Share new insights—be they challenges or opportunities—with the management team. Standardise and format folders for successful tenders before handing over to the Preconstruction team. Create and maintain a submittals register for projects. Familiarise yourself with Procore (or similar project management tools) to manage project data efficiently. Consistently adhere to health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and visitors. Support any additional tasks or projects as required by the Manager or Senior Management Team. The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least to £60,000 plus package & hybrid options available.
