Duties To administer the EHCP Annual Review process, including requesting and collating all contributions, both internally and externally, preparation of all documentation and attending/minuting annual review meetings Support with the write up of completed annual review reports and distribute these according to compliance timeframes set by issuing Local Authorities (when required) To intercept and collate the in-year ALS admissions forms and record these on college systems To produce profiles for all EHCP students using information held by the college To produce template documents required for recording and evidencing support for EHCP students To support the ALS Lead/ Coordinator in taking general day to day enquiries and following up as appropriate To administer the procurement of resources required by students or the department To follow the process in liaising with Health and Safety teams and curriculum for all EHCP students across designated campuses in regard to risk assessments and PEEPs To be the first point of contact for parents/carers and other key stakeholders, with regards to ALS To liaise with feeder schools, parents/carers, other education providers and external agencies, to ensure all appropriate student’s SEN/EHCP documentation is received and uploaded appropriately within college systems To attend, take minutes and document all ALS meetings To arrange and book meetings required by ALS Lead, including all Learning Support interview meetings for potential and enrolled students Support with administration of Exam arrangements To assist with the timetabling and tracking of personalised timetables for students with support needs To support with the co-ordination of travel arrangements for learners with SEND and liaise with associated stakeholders (as required) At peak times of the year, represent the college ALS Department at open events and attend career's evening at local schools. To undertake any other responsibilities that may be reasonably deemed as within the realms of the role Skills/Experience To be sensitive to the learning needs of students with additional learning support needs, being able to communicate with them effectively Experience of working in a school/college environment; Experience with Exam Access Arrangements processes in an FE context Proven organisational and administrative skills Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role. Qualifications Five GCSEs at grade 4 / C or above (including Maths and English) Educated to Level 3 (A-Level or equivalent) Relevant experience in an administrative role Ideal Attributes Good communicator, able to explain complex processes to a range of stakeholders Be able to work effectively within a complex environment to short timescales Be confident working independently and organising own work priorities to fit department and wider business need Ability to recognise potential problems and to formulate solutions.
