The Role – Senior Manager – Product & Offer Development
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Championship Planning and Experience team as Senior Manager – Product & Offer Development. The successful candidate will lead on a varied and diverse number of projects as part of the centralised pre-planning team on The Open, proactively working with and effectively collaborating with various internal (up to Director level) and external stakeholders planning a minimum of two years in advance of each Championship to help ensure the effective development of products/offers and seamless implementation of the agreed strategies with The Open delivery team.
To play a key role in identifying new opportunities, providing recommendations to support the development of the Event Day Growth Strategy (EDGS) & Partnership strategies to senior management as required, and providing effective project and reputational management, to continuously improve planning and operations and drive delivery across the relevant areas.
Work with the Head of Pre-planning, EDGS partnerships team, Partnership Strategy team as a key stakeholder in devising and deploying the strategic direction of both the EDGS and Partnership strategy. Leading project working groups across The R&A and external consultants and suppliers to ensure excellent collaboration, agree project timescales, budgets, and delivery of the highest level of guest experiential activities at The Open annually.
This is a full time, permanent position working 35 hours per week.
We currently operate to a hybrid working policy of 3 days per week in the office in St Andrews and 2 days working from home.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
* Degree level qualification, or equivalent relevant working experience.
* Experience in leading projects at major spectator events (sport, music, entertainment, etc)
* Ability to evaluate and make decisions and to be able to work with an elevated level of autonomy.
* Strong project management skills and experience and/or a project management certification.
* Working across multiple workstreams both internally and externally demonstrating strong project management and communication skills.
* Extensive experience of managing budgets that drive effective performance.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office Packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
