Job Description:
This would suit a Sustainability/ESG professional who wants to join a non-profit to lead the Environmental, Social, & Governance agenda in the food sector.
As the ESG Lead for this prominent non-profit food organisation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies and operational changes to integrate environmental, social, and governance considerations across the food and supply chain operations.
This role will suit a Sustainability/ESG Consultant who wants to join a progressive non-profit or someone who has taken the lead in all things Environmental, Social, and Governance in the Food or Logistics Sectors.
This is an opportunity to align your personal aspirations of sustainability with your professional experience and to make an impact on the wider ESG agenda.
You will be a Sustainability/ESG expert with gravitas and credibility to serve as a spokesperson for the organisation on ESG matters, engaging with investors, customers, regulators, and other external stakeholders to positively promote the organisation.
Given the cross-functional nature of the role and the focus on driving standardisation in reporting, the role will report to the CFO. The role is hybrid working with touch points across the UK, leaning towards either London or Yorkshire locations.
The ideal professional will have:
1. Experience of driving ESG strategy execution in complex organisations, ideally in a warehouse and logistics environment
2. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, sustainability, business administration) or equivalent relevant experience
3. Hands-on and outcome-driven approach
4. Awareness of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD)
5. Experience working with project management tools and software such as Jira and Trello is desirable
This is a key role within the organisation and an immediate need. Please apply today with your CV or contact me (Neal) to discuss further.
