An exciting job role has recently become available in South Wales. They are looking for a new member for their Community Team.
Job Description
You will assist people in resolving major difficulties, enhancing their independence and coping skills. You will work within current legislation and Council policies to assess, commission, and review services for specific client groups. You will follow statutory guidance to protect those at risk or vulnerable and contribute to systems ensuring service quality and identifying at-risk individuals. You will collaborate with colleagues in the statutory and independent sectors to ensure a multi-agency approach and empower clients to advocate for themselves.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will supervise casework for team members below level 3 and work independently, including attending court and child protection conferences without a team manager. You will assist individuals in enhancing their independence, assess needs, risks, and strengths, considering legal requirements, and handle complex and high-risk cases or arrange high-value care packages. You will work jointly with less experienced staff on complex cases, supervise students, and support staff with student placements. You will promote a recovery model of care in treatment plans, participate in supervision, appraisal, and team meetings, and identify care packages within the budget framework. You will use corporate systems for care management processes, offer specialist advice to social workers and care professionals, manage and prioritize a caseload with professional judgment, and contribute to team meetings, service development, and training.

Qualifications and Experiences:
You must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. A full UK driving licence is required, along with post-qualified experience. Additionally, you should hold a degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
