About The Role
We are now seeking to appoint a Junior Data Analyst (Internal – Public Health Intelligence Systems and Data Officer) to join our team based in Lincoln.
You will work within our highly experienced Public Health Intelligence team using new and emerging technologies along with having the opportunity to work with a range of national health and social care organisations. This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a difference and have a positive impact on people’s lives.
The Public Health Intelligence team is a fast paced, dynamic and future focussed team supporting the commissioning and delivery of Public Health services and Integrated Care System across Lincolnshire.
We take a leading role in integrating new analytical technologies and software into our everyday working, enabling us to provide the right information in the right format to the key decision makers across the health and care system.
About You
Ideally, we are looking for a recent graduate for this early career position; however, we would also consider those with the relevant experience gained in either a personal or professional capacity, looking to develop their skills further.
We are looking for someone who can be proactive, work autonomously in a supported environment, and is keen to further develop their skills.
We need someone who can:
1. Demonstrate a good level of IT literacy and can adopt new software and skills.
2. Show willingness to expand on current programming knowledge.
3. Identify, collate, and manage sources of intelligence generated through various partners and channels.
4. Create reports and data sets that allow the consumption of processed, quality assured and validated data, including through digitally automated processes.
5. Manage processes for maintaining large, identifiable, and sensitive datasets.

For this position, it is possible that we would consider making an offer to a candidate with entry level skills; this offer would be at a lower grade and the candidate would be expected to complete an apprenticeship program. In this case, progression to the advertised salary would be considered on completion of the apprenticeship program and satisfactory performance levels.
Experience of Public Health is not essential as specifics of the role can be learned on the job, but the role would suit someone with a health science background.
