We are seeking a self-motivated and driven professional to take the lead as Head of Technical Operations for a respected manufacturer with decades of industry excellence. You'll oversee all technical operations, from R&D to compliance, ensuring consistent product quality while maintaining competitive margins. Role Responsibilities:
* To lead the development and management of own-brand formulations and B2B product innovations, ensuring high-quality, market-leading solutions.
* To continuously adapt formulations to accommodate raw material supply changes while maintaining product consistency, profitability, and accurate costings through feed formulation software.
* To ensure full compliance with UFAS, HACCP, and industry regulations by managing recordings, conducting quality checks, and maintaining accurate risk assessments.
* To oversee adherence to environmental permits, AIC standards, and product legislation across all packaging, digital platforms, and publication channels.
* To work collaboratively with the production team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing while providing technical expertise to support sales and marketing efforts.
* To engage with customers by addressing inquiries, representing the company at industry trade shows, and offering administrative support to the production team as needed.
Skills you will need:
* A strong background in animal nutrition, feed formulation, or a related technical field in equine, pet, ruminant, or monogastric sectors.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Highly organised, adaptable, and motivated, able to manage own diary.
* Strong analytical skills with an excellent eye for detail.
* A team player able to collaborate across the business to drive technical excellence.
* A problem solver, someone who can think creatively to resolve situations.
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and actively contribute new ideas.
* A professional and positive mindset, with excellent customer service skills.
* Knowledge of Industry Standards and Regulations and experience with HACCP and UFAS.
