Registered Dental Nurse Part Time Post
Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week (3 days), including occasional OOH sessions and travel to other sites.
Location: Dental Dept, Cross Street Clinic, Burton DE14 1EG

Qualifications:
1. Qualification in Dental Nursing – Essential
2. Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing (Desirable but not essential)

The Dental Nurse role will provide full clinical support associated with the needs of the Community Dental Service. Responsibilities include:
1. Daily operational procedures of designated clinics.
2. Working alongside the Dental Surgeon as part of a dedicated team.
3. Traveling between centres and assisting with numerous dental surgeons.
4. Working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays within the out-of-hours emergency dental service.

In summary, these are the things that you will have:
1. National Examination Board for Dental Nurses or NVQ Level 3.
2. GDC Registration.
3. Evidence of continual professional development.
4. An understanding of the dental needs of the population of Staffordshire.
5. Experience in the GDS.
6. Experience with a wide range of patient groups.
7. Experience working as part of a team.
8. Experience in organising and maintaining dental surgeries.
9. Experience in good infection control and decontamination procedures.
10. Competent clinical skills across a wide range of clinical procedures.
